The aim of the program is to deepen in Modern Greek Language and Literature as well as in Comparative Literature and Literary Theory, aiming at the theoretical and philological formation and development of students to high-level scientists capable of contributing to the educational, research and economic development of country. In a time of rapid technological evolution and the globalization of knowledge and economy, Classical, Modern Greek and Humanistic, wider, Studies remain a fundamental axis of Culture and Education. They are leaders in many areas of global research and professional activity, as they are the origins of Western thought, the beginning or important part of Modern Greek thought and literature, and the educational structures that define the current educational system.
